How to Purchase High-Power Rocket Motors

High-power rocket motors require certification verification through NAR or Tripoli. Please follow the steps below to ensure your order is processed correctly.

Important: If you are attempting a certification flight and are not yet certified, you may only receive (1) high-power motor per certification attempt.

Step 1 – Select Your Motor

  • Add the motor you need to your cart.
  • Make sure the motor matches your current certification level or certification attempt.
  • If you are ordering L, M, or larger motors, please contact us before placing your order.

Step 2 – Add the Pick-Up at Launch Item

Step 3 – Add Pick-Up at Launch for Shipping

  • During checkout, select the shipping option:
  • Pick-Up at Launch (This tells our team to bring your motors to the launch site.)

Step 4 – Add Your NAR or Tripoli Number

During checkout, please add information in the Order Notes.

Please include:

  • NAR or Tripoli number
  • Certification level or Level Attempt
  • Launch Date

Example:

  • Tripoli #12345
  • Level 1 attempt
  • Need for FAR, by June
  • Picking up at Laguna Hills Store

Your order will be held if certification/pick-up information is not included.

Step 5 – Certification Verification

  • High-power motors will not be released until certification information has been verified.
  • You may not purchase motors for other people unless you are an approved purchasing department or have made prior arrangements with us.

Step 6 – Launch Order Timing

  • All launch pick-up orders must be received by Wednesday before the event.
  • If you place your order the night before a launch, your order will be processed for the next launch.
  • Large bulk orders must be prearranged well in advance of events.

Step 7 – Shipping and Rush Orders

  • Please allow time for Hazmat shipping when ordering motors.
  • If you need next-day or same-day processing, a rush fee will apply.

Important Information

  • Customers attempting certification may receive only one high-power motor per certification flight.
  • Your order will be delayed if no certification number or certification information is added to the order notes.
  • You may not buy motors for other people unless you are an approved purchasing department or have made prior arrangements.
  • Large bulk orders must be arranged well in advance of launches and events.
  • A standard motor selection may be applied.
  • We reserve the right to adjust or substitute a motor selection based on the rocket build, safety considerations, or launch situation, using our best judgment.
