TERMS & CONDITIONS AND SHIPPING
Standard: We ship the least expensive way, primarily through USPS and FedEx, but sometimes UPS or DHL. A-G motors must ship USPS Parcel Post (ground).
Bay Area Pickup: Pickups are available in Mountain View on Wednesdays and Fridays every week for orders placed by 5pm PT the previous day. Our pickup address is 855 Maude Ave, Mountain View CA, 94043 and is inside of Hacker Dojo. Our full store is not available for retail shopping at this time. Please subscribe to our email list to get notified when it opens.
Launch Pickup: Pickup at a launch that we attend is free of shipping and HazMat charges, (rush fees may still apply). We are regulars at all LUNAR.org and Aeropac launches as well as most TCC launches. We also travel to FAR and ROC sometimes, and will try to find someone going that way if we're not attending, if you don't want the motor(s) shipped. Launch Pick-up Dates
Rush: Contact us to setup a shipping method that gets your products by the delivery date you need. We can even used Uber Delivery for same-day orders!
Motors: High-Power Motors require HazMat ground shipping by Federal law. Most motors of G impulse or below can be shipped USPS Parcel Ground without HazMat. USPS Parcel Ground typically takes 3-10 days to arrive, and HazMat shipping typically takes 2-6 days.
HAZMAT Motors: Even though they are not classified as explosives High-Power Aerotech motors currently require shipment through a certified HazMat carrier (such as FedEx-Ground, or UPS-Ground). This is because the motors either contain more than 30-grams of continuous propellant or because they are not certified to be shipped through the US Postal Service. HazMat fees are included in your shipping cost calculated. The HazMat fee is charged per-shipped-box and will not change unless additional boxes are necessary. The 2024 HAZMAT shipping fee is $51 in addition to the shipping cost of the box and special UN certified boxes are required.
It's a good idea to group HazMat motor orders together with your friends to split the fee cost. Good news is that HazMat orders arrive more promptly than other motor orders.
Please Note: Someone 18 years or older must be present to sign for a HazMat package.

Please Note: Due to regulations and ground shipping requirements, we cannot ship HAZMAT motors outside the continental US.Rocket Motor Shortage: Aerotech motors are limited to two of each part number, per customer, per month, while Aerotech reduces their backlog, unless larger quantities are arranged in advance. Any larger quantity orders will be pre-ordered from Aerotech.
Again, please be aware that the shipping fee listed on your online order is only an estimate. If our shopping cart estimate of the actual shipping fees is too low, we will contact you to let you know the actual shipping, so that you can authorize the extra fee. We do this so you will not be surprised by an extra charge on your credit card. Likewise if the shipping fee you have paid is more than what it costs us, we will refund the difference as a store credit. We do not profit from shipping costs, they are high enough!
