AeroTech F115SN-12A 29mm DMS™ Disposable Motor System™ rocket motor (No. 061112).
NEW F115SN-12A 29mm DMS™ Disposable Motor System™ rocket motor (No. 061112).
Designed around a 29mm fiberglass-wound casing, this new rocket motor uses a slower version of Aerotech's aerospace-grade Warp-9™ propellant formulation that we've named Slo Nine™ (SN) propellant. Intended for lifting heavy rockets on small launch fields, the new F115SN delivers a total impulse of 79.15 N-Sec (17.79 lb.-Sec.) with a quick burn time of .69 seconds. The 38.5 g (0.08 lbs.) of Slo Nine™ propellant, within an all-up motor weight of 92.5 g (0.20 lbs.), produces a maximum thrust of 146.7 N (32.97 lbs.) and an average thrust of 114.16 N (25.66 lbs.). This DMS rocket motor has an ejection charge and adjustable time delays of 12, 10 and 6 seconds using AeroTech's Universal Delay Drilling Tool™ (UDDT).
Priced at only $29.99 ea. SRP, this is AeroTech's first "F" Size DMS™ rocket motor and is a real bargain considering its high-power rocket potential. The new F115SN-12A is classified as a high-power hobby rocket motor as its average thrust exceeds 80 Newtons.
California State Fire Marshal classification and approval has been granted for the F115SN-12A 29mm DMS™ rocket motor. It ships with a FirstFire™ Junior Initiator, has a suggested retail price of $29.99 each and may be purchased by consumers 18 years of age or older with a minimum Level 1 NAR or TRA Certification, or by educational institutions, government agencies and licensed commercial entities.
TRA certification documents, DMS™ motor instructions and assembly drawings for the F115SN-12A will be available for download in PDF format from the Resource Library on the AeroTech/Quest website at http://www.aerotech-quest.com
