Officially it’s the LAMPMU – Low Altitude Mars Personal Maneuvering Unit – but no one ever calls it that. To most people, on Earth and on Mars, it’s simply “The Leaper™.” Developed for the first Mars Expedition of 2035, the jetpack was envisioned as a way to rapidly travel between surface habitats. What the engineers didn’t count on was just how fun it would be! Why walk when you can leap!
The Luna Bug is a lot of power packed into a tiny body, soaring all the way up to 800 ft on Estes Mini Engines! This intermediate rocket is the perfect step up from our ready-to-fly models, or for the entry level modeler that wants to start with a challenge. Keep altitudes high with the Luna Bug!
Upsized redesign of a classic kit! Ultra-realistic styling and spectacular parachute/glider dual recovery make this one a standout. Features laser-cut wooden components and a construction jig for speedy and accurate assembly. Two sheets of detailed, three-color decals complete the authentic look and feel of a future space liner. Launches up to 800 ft. on a recommended Estes C or D engine. The Estes Super Orbital Transport looks like the real thing and flies like a dream!
